Most desk lamps have one job and do it without ever looking up. This one watches the room, answers when you speak, and sulks when you stop.

How it works

Three evenings, start
to finish

Print the test plate

Two parts, 7 mm tall, about 15 minutes. It proves the printed spline fits your servo before you commit to an eight hour tub.

Run the nine plates

One arm segment per plate so a knock over costs one part instead of three. Total plastic is 492 cm3, roughly 610 g in PLA.

Drop the electronics in

The tub opens to its full bore, so every board and the speaker lower straight in. The shoulder ring goes on last.

Every part

Measured, not estimated

Sizes come straight out of the CAD. All but one print with no support: the shade collar sits at 51 degrees, which most printers bridge.
